Welcome!
Happy New Year to our MSD143 Families!
We were excited to welcome students back to school. We have been spoiled with warmer temperatures lately, but January always graces us with frigid temperatures and snow. Saying that, I want to be sure our winter weather procedures are clear to all.
Please understand that we want children in school as much as possible. In-person instruction has proved to be the best method for teaching and learning. However, sometimes the weather does not cooperate and we are forced to close school. Our number one priority is always safety. We will open school if it is decided it is safe, based on information from multiple sources. Please understand that closing school is never an easy decision. I thank you, in advance, for your understanding that I will make the best possible call with the information I have at the time.
Please see Winter Weather Procedures for more detailed information.
Sincerely, Dr. Angela Crotty Superintendent
